FAQs

Is this a group practice?

No. This is a space for mental health practitioners to rent an office. This space will allow you to work alongside other practitioners while you retain all of your fees, make your own hours, and practice independently. Non-compete agreements are not required. Your clients will remain your clients regardless of practice location.

How much and what is included?

The monthly rent ranges from $700-$750. The monthly rate includes rent and covers additional office expenses such as utilities, snow removal, internet, and waiting room supplies. The office space will be yours to make your own. Renters will also have access to a large group room or workshop space. New: please contact to inquire about daily rate.

Is there supervision available?

While I do hope this space becomes a community to consult with each other, supervision is not included. This space is for mental health practitioners who are independently licensed or who have arranged for their supervision.

What are the terms of the lease?

The lease terms are for 1 year or more. While looking for space to become a solo practitioner, I learned that counselors have a bad reputation in the commercial real estate world. We want reasonable leases and not a bunch of unused space. My first thought was - Exactly! And my next thought was - Why doesn’t this exist? This space was created to empower those who want to provide mental health therapy and services to create an ideal practice.

Is there support available to get started?

When I first started to explore opening a private practice, I was overwhelmed. After researching more, I was delighted to learn about the wealth of services that exist to help counselors get started. There are a number of online programs, checklists, podcasts, and memberships that are designed for this. Almost too many! There are also a number of EHR platforms to help with appointment scheduling, forms, and billing. The EHRs I see the most frequently recommended are Therapy Notes and Simple Practice. I am happy to share what I found to be the most helpful. If you are planning to take insurance, I am contracted with a local insurance biller who helped me get on insurance panels and will handle the billing process. I can pass along his information as well!
